QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR NEW STUDENT'S HOUSING FOR NEXT YEAR?
When Will My Student Receive His/Her Room Assignment?
First-year students who have been assigned housing will receive their housing assignments and roommate contact information via U.S. mail by late June.
Where Can I Find Out More About the Residence Halls?
Virtual tours, floors plans, photos, and specific details about all the residence halls and apartments are available on our Web site, at http://housing.depaul.edu.
What If My Student is Unhappy With Their Building or Room Assignment?
Unfortunately, due to the high demand for Lincoln Park housing, we do not make any room or building assignment changes over the summer. Our priority is our wait list and doing the best we can to house as many students as possible. Your student can submit a room change form during fall quarter after the third week of classes.
Where Can We Find Out What to Bring to Campus?
When your student receives their room and roommate(s) assignment in June, all the relevant information about living on campus will be included.
Can My Student Move In Prior to Labor Day Weekend?
Due to summer maintenance projects and University programs, we do not permit students to move-in to their fall housing assignment prior to September 1, 2007. The only exception to this is students enrolled in approved programs (Ex. Discover Chicago). The individual program will contact you and provide this information, if an early move in date is necessary.
What if my student is on the wait list for Lincoln Park housing?
We are still receiving cancellations for 2007-2008 housing. Students on the wait list are confirmed after we receive a cancellation.
Do you recommend a student on the waitlist live at the University Center (UCC) in the Loop?
The UCC provides residents with additional amenities beyond what our Lincoln Park buildings feature including a cafeteria, fitness center, roof terrace, and game room inside the building. If securing DePaul housing is important to you and your student, please contact us at ucc@depaul.edu and we can speak to you further about this option.
